Abstract Instruction Records Compilation CD Abstract Instruction Records is a new midwest record label that is excepting submissions for a 20 band comp set to be released in the late summer. We use the 20 band comp to 1) promote the label 2) to give good bands exposure 3) to decide what bands we feel could sell their full length albums.

6 Local Bands Needed for a TV Pilot to be shot in Lawrence There is a music based TV show that is coming to Lawrence to shoot a pilot for what promises to be a very cool show for the next fall season. Their hope is for this to be shot in Lawrence sometime around the end of Oct. It should be quite a production and the company doing this will be doing a 5 camera shoot with a mobile 24 track recording studio outside the venue as well. They are looking for the 6 best bands of the area and they want all kinds of bands, from thrash to gospel to country to the blues.
