sonikboom7: we booked at daveys and someone told them we werent 21, so they canceled

sonikboom7: pretty much.
KcDanielle: How long have you played?
sonikboom7: 5 yrs I think. I think I'm pretty good.
sonikboom7: I have been sax-less since I graduated
KcDanielle: Do you know why you guys were cut from Localpalooza?
sonikboom7: damn lost my connection....
sonikboom7: my ISP isn't that fab.
KcDanielle: How long has NLS been together?
sonikboom7: a year and a half. we all kind of got instruments becuz we thought it would be kool to have a rocknroll band.
sonikboom7: :) then we learned how to play them.
KcDanielle: Well, I haven't heard you guys yet, but Grovel told me you guys are really good!
sonikboom7: that's good to hear, Grovel is awesome. I'm pretty good friends with them.
sonikboom7: come to think of it, it's more like 2 yrs for the band now..time flies
KcDanielle: Do you know why you were cut from Localpalooza
KcDanielle: Did someone just call you and tell you..."hey, you're cut from the gig?"
sonikboom7: no idea. our promoter (Jay Bredwell) in the deal backed out because they moved it, and it was looking really crappy
KcDanielle: So it's in Lonejack now, and you got cut because of that?
sonikboom7: so if he backed out... that means Grovel, Julia Surrendered, subtle rebellion...
KcDanielle: are they out, too???
sonikboom7: he said they wanted to cut all of the 'smaller' bands (you know, the ones who need the exposure..)
sonikboom7: from my understanding they are cut as well.
KcDanielle: Oh suck!

KcDanielle: So do you have any bookings for June?
KcDanielle: July? August? I thought I heard something about August tour?
sonikboom7: that WAS our booking for june.
sonikboom7: we can't get gigs here... 1st week of august we are doing st. louis, evansville I, Columbus OH
KcDanielle: Why aren't people supportive?
sonikboom7: and we've had other offers from Minn and Denton TX
KcDanielle: That's cool....at least you're playing somewhere. I heard St. Louis is really cool.
KcDanielle: Redshift is playing in Chicago Halloween night

KcDanielle: So do you guys have a booking agent or do you do it yourselves.....
sonikboom7: Jay Bredwell, (the guy that backed us out of LP) gets us periodic gigs, but we are independent.
KcDanielle: I still don't understand why he backed out.
KcDanielle: This is the one event that Frogpong and Outhouse and Flick weren't going to be at to give exposure to other bands....
sonikboom7: he said the whole thing was coming together lousy, or he thinks maybe not at all...
sonikboom7: that's the way it works. I believe that's what he was getting at..
sonikboom7: I just think it's crappy to invite bands and then ditch them when something else comes along (frogpond)
