Interview with Exit159
winners of "Best New Band"
1998 Klammies

Congratulations on the "Best New Band" award!

What were you thinking on your way up to the stage? Could you believe that you had won?

Kristie: I just kept giggling. I kept wanting to hold Byron & Rob's hands.
Rob: It took me a few seconds for it to sink in.
Byron: I REALLY wanted to kiss that presenter girl. And I DID! (-stud...joe)

Who are some local bands or musicians that you admire or feel should be recognized?

Kristie: UFB! TV FIFTY!!!
Rob: TV FIFTY
Byron: no comment

Who do you feel has helped you pave the road to this award?

Kristie: Everyone that comes out to our shows, Danny Alexander (from the Pitch), Jamey Wheeler
Rob: Definitely the fans
Byron: Jamey

Kristie, being a Frogpond member at one time, how did you feel about Heidi's nomination for "Best Female Vocalist" and how did you feel about the outcome (Ida McBeth won the award)?

Kristie: I LOVE Ida McBeth

We all couldn't help but notice TV Fifty member (or ex-member, now that TV Fifty is no more) Byron Huhmann announced as your new bass player. What happened to Jamie and how did all that come about?

Kristie: Jamey just wasn't happy & he has other talents that he's happier pursuing. And we'll miss him.
Rob: We still talk, everything is cool & okay.
Byron: Umm....

Where do you feel Exit 159 will be around next year's KLAMMIES?

Kristie: Hopefully we'll be in the room with the free beer.
Rob: Hopefully performing!
Byron: Working the concession stand.

Again, congratulations on the award and thanks for taking the time to chat with me. Is there anything else you'd like to add before you head off to the party?

Kristie: I hope we'll be back next year...
Rob: I was kinda hoping it'd be cup shaped so that I might drink from it's glory.
Byron: Ummm......

Also, Byron added that he is very happy in Exit 159 and is having a lot of fun! :)
