Ultimate Fakebook is:
Winners of the "Best Rock Band", "Best Album", "Best Song", and "Band of the Year" for the 1998 KLAMMIES!!!
Hailing from Manhattan, Kansas, Bill McShane and Nick Colby
started Ultimate Fakebook in 1994. After lineup changes and the
arrival of former Truck Stop Love drummer, Eric Melin, the band
developed a sharp sense of direction and a focused, song-oriented
style and began creating well-crafted tuneful power pop. From the
hands of producer Ed Rose, Ultimate Fakebook has created a
perfect pop album filled with tasty hooks, instant sing-along
melodies, and a rockin’ guitar-driven sound. Songs like the first
single, "Far, Far Away," with its catchy chorus, and "Roll," for its
passionate take on growing up, ‘Diamond Ring," and "Having Too
Much Fun" are great rock songs from the debut CD "Electric
Kissing Parties." "All the New Poisons," is already a local hit on
Manhattan's KSDB, and has also garnered airplay on KLZR,
KCHZ, KCCX, and KMKF.
