Redshift died a swift death in May of 1997, when vocalist, Andy Beck decided to leave, shortly after recording "Blackbox" at Berry Music Group. They went on to finish out the remainder of their live committments, ending a long string of powerful shows with an appearance at Localpaluzza. After auditioning a series of replacement singers, Redshift decided it was best to disband and pursue other avenues.
Rumour has it that Redshift members Tony Maxwell and Andrew Weedman have recorded again. Copies of the 1997 recording, "Blackbox", can still be purchased through Andrew (jazman@mwis.net or tel 816.313.0546).
Joe Fortunato went on to form Avondale, with Gregg Todt of Venus Auto.
